Network Signal Guru (NSG) is a versatile tool for voice and data service quality troubleshooting, RF optimization, and engineering fieldwork on the Android OS platform. It offers support for various wireless network technologies globally, spanning multiple mobile layers and real-time data stack coverage. NSG boasts extensive test functions for voice and data evaluations, providing insights into the actual end-user quality of service within mobile networks.
- NSG includes comprehensive test functions for a range of technologies such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, CDMA2000, EVDO, LTE, and 5G NR. The tool integrates complete recording and decoding capabilities for protocol layers across supported technologies (3GPP, Layer2, Layer3, and SIP), enabling direct decoding of Layer 3 signaling and data protocol packets on mobile devices.
- NSG Map offers valuable benefits by combining outdoor and indoor measurements, simplifying complex assessments in locations like subways, malls, or airports.
- NSG supports a wide array of devices including Qualcomm, MediaTek Dimensity, Samsung Exynos, and Huawei Kirin. Root access is required for Qualcomm and MediaTek devices while a custom ROM is preferred for Huawei Kirin. For Samsung Exynos variants, NSG requires a token from Samsung. Additionally, users can utilize Pixel 6 for Exynos testing with root access.
The primary objective of the NSG team is to streamline network maintenance, optimization, and engineering processes by providing a cost-effective solution. Recognizing the high costs associated with existing test tools in the market, NSG aims to cater to a broader user base within the industry.
Band Locking is a notable feature that allows users to restrict their phone's network search to specific bands. This functionality proves vital for pinpointing coverage in particular locations or conducting targeted tests. Moreover, in cases of severe congestion on a particular band, users have the option to force their phone onto an alternative band.
Network Signal Guru is an informative app that offers extensive details regarding the cellular networks to which you are connected.
Best Regards,
NSG Team
